Extra Foam Sugar Free Ubuntu
this laptop came with Suse enterprise pre-installed which I have never used thus far since I installed Win 7 right away.
Lately I've been playing with an idea of trying to dual boot with latest Ubuntu.
1. battery life is no. 1 concern for me, how would it fare to Windows?
2. is all the HW compatable?

My advise is to run as a live session and find out first hand how well your hardware works with Ubuntu. Just run as a live cd or usb.
Edit: though I don't use it. Another option since you already installed Windows 7 is going the Wubi install route and Install Ubuntu as a program inside of Windows 7. It can be ujnistalled like any other program in Windows if you decide not to keep it.
