And I would be one of those people - but I still don't get why. It doesn't matter, I guess, but it seems there are cheaper ways og getting a 'buntu distro on a machine.

__________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ one reason for me to run ubuntu on mac is because of final cut pro x say what u want but apple has everyone else beat when it comes to editing movies but I rather run ubuntu because it a great program. Not unless there is a MAC base emulator that will run FCPX on pc with ubuntu?
