Question Audio falters with a Realtek ALC269 soundcard in 11.10

After updating and later installing from scratch the problem persists. The audio sounds faltering.
I've got a HDA Intel MID Realtek Alc269, working properly in Ubuntu 11.04 on a Dell Inspiron 1210.

I have the last Alsa version (1.0.24) and I'm using analog stereo only.

    $lspci -v
    Code:

try to upgrade ALSA either via PPA or manually. Also try using analog stereo only. see if that helps.

it seems support is there for these chips, but it is also a buggy support.
Easy to understand Ubuntu manual with lots of pics: http://ubuntu-manual.org/
Do i need antivirus/firewall in linux?
