Quick lists were available for both Unity 2D & 3d in 11.04 , but I have seen no current articles about about them since 11.10 was released . I don't know if to old methods will work in Gnome 3 . ????

Re: unity 2d and quicklists built for unity

Quicklists & how to create are still the same. Actually as of 11.10 unity & unity-2d share the same launcher in terms of what favorites (icons) are in it and the quicklists in them

(so TargetEnvironment=Unity works for both, at least in 11.10
