How to change password system wide

I just changed my password using User Accounts. Now whenever I signin, my keyring wants my old password. I've already had this problem once (in a previous distro) I just can't remember how to fix it. I went to the keyring and tried to change the password manually but after entering my old password and the new password a kagillion times, I figured it was time to browse on over to UF.
Which is more important in obtaining the truth, "what" or "why"? Trick question. They are of equal importance.
