    Would there be a huge cost savings in using more standardized hardware? I don't know much about Macs because I have avoided them because of the cost. If they could bring the cost down so you could get a fully functional desktop for the same price as a cheap PC I might be interested.

    I recently puchased a mac-mini, which is comparable, to a pc, running ms, in price.

    The model I bought, uses intel, which works quite well.
    I learn something ubuntu everyday.

    ppc

    I still say they should go back to PPC. It uses less power and is a better architecture.
