All my Tomboy notes are gone - both on my computer and at one.ubuntu.com.
Is there a log that can show me what happened and when it did?
And is there a simple way to restore them?

Oh, found them. They were in:
~/local.old/share/tomboy/
No, you STUPID machine!
I hit synchronize - and it deleted them all again!
Ok, copied the files over again. Then started Tomboy with the --debug flag, synchronized and this time it all worked.
But a BIT sceptical of Tomboy now.

Better to create a .txt file instead of using tomboy for your notes. Or using Dropbox instead of Ubuntu One. The fault must be found in 1 of those 2 tools is my best guess.
There are other options, if you are interested. They include Gnote (which is a C++ version of Tomboy), BasKet is very nice, Knotes is simple and to the point, and Zim is a desktop wiki. So if you like wikis, zim rocks. As bonus, none of the four are built on Mono. So there are more choices than just Tomboy.

Excellent, thanks! Will have to have a look at them.
tomboy deleted all my notes after last synchronisation. Something to do with ubuntu one dropping support. I'm mad as hell, somebody should have told us, my last backup was a month ago, I've just lost a pile of information.
