    Can Ubuntu support touchscreen?

    Hi,

I've just purchased a dell inspiron touch which as its name states has a touch screen.

I'm still a big linux fan so I'm going to dual boot. I would like to know if Ubuntu has the ability to take advantage of touch screens.

It would be pretty awesome with Unity!

If you can't afford to loose it, if you don't know how to get it back: back it up.

Yes, it can. However it depends on your particular device how easy it's to set up.

A friend of mine has a Eee PC netbook with a touchscreen, it required some extra packages and configuration to get multitouch and stuff like that working properly, but it sure was a joy to use when everything was working.
