    Am I the only one who is still suffering from WiFi instability? On all sorts of networks I get frequent reconnects (reason=4 mostly). I've seen many related bugs over the months, but I'm still fighting with this every week or so.

    EDIT: I just looked at the Wiki for the Zenbook Prime and saw that disabling Bluetooth can help. This seems to be helping significantly for me.

    You could configure it to save everything on your hdd after..let's say...20 minuits and then shut down. But I think it's not a big difference between booting und hibernating.
    I think in normal mode, hybrid saves everything on the hdd when the laptop is at...5% of battary --> Just to save the session after the battery is empty.

    This Notebook isn't that big dissapointment to me. Just the screen and the suspend is a bit ...annoying. Beside this, it's a perfect Notebook (even with a Linux OS --> It wasn't developed for Linux )

    Disabling Bluetooth could be "a solution". I have it disabled all the time and get reasonable wifi performance. Not good, but okay.

    When you use hybrid-suspend and it has written everything to disk, there shouldn't be any drain at all, afaik.

    All in all I am not that disappointed. It's a very nice notebook and the only thing I have a problem with is the unplugging/shutdown... Did anyone find a solution for this yet? Did anyone change the battery, this would be my next move.

    Re: Ubuntu and the asus zenbook (UX31)

    I disabled VTd from bios and use suspend hybrid.
    and now overnight about 9 hours drain is just 6%.
    booting up from this hybri is quite fast, only annoyning thing, it ask grub to choose where to boot..

    I didnt do any setting to suspend hybrid, just edited /etc/acpi/lid.sh
    from original to:
    Code:
    #!/bin/bash

    LID_CLOSED=$(cat /proc/acpi/button/lid/LID/state | grep open)
    if [ "$LID_CLOSED" = "" ]; then
      /usr/sbin/pm-suspend-hybrid
    fi
    kernel is back to 3.6.3-030603-generic and Iam using kubuntu 12.10.
    little confused about this hybrid how it could work, I just remembered that my swap partition is just 1gb
    but it works

    I am not sure, if changing lid.sh is the right way and if suspend to disc will/can work properly with a too small swap. (at least with this script)

    One thing you can tweak is the time when it will switch to suspend to disc, see here: http://daniel.hahler.de/use-hybrid-s...hod-by-default

    I dont know where it saves data, but it just works with lid.sh
    new stats, 16 hours with edited lid.sh, drain is just 1%.

    I'll test that method...

    vivaeltopo's tip didnt work at all.
    zenbook didnt even go suspend after closing lid.
    I going back to modified /etc/acpi/lid.sh
