    iPod Classic not connecting

    I am unable to connect my iPod to Ubuntu and I am unsure what change caused it. I tried to reinstall Banshee to see if maybe it would locate the other half of my library this time (but it didn't so I uninstalled it again), also there were some updates which may have caused the issue but I believe that I have those covered. my iPod connects when the PC is powering up (displays 'connected'), however, once Ubuntu starts loading it ejects (actually, it completely ejects, normally if I simply 'eject' it will continue to charge, it is as if I have chosen 'safely remove'). once Ubuntu is loaded to the desktop if I try to connect it my iPod doesn't even turn on the backlight to acknowledge that it has connected to a power source.

    here is my /var/log/apt/history.log for the last ten days:

    note: I also tried reinstalling usbmux/libusbmux in synaptic and rebooting to no avail

    any help would be appreciated

    edit: I attempted to connect my gf's nano that connected with no issue earlier this week also and it also behaves the exact same way

    Try:

    Code:
    sudo apt-get install ifuse libimobiledevice-utils
    idevicepair unpair && idevicepair pair
    This works for 11.10.. Not sure about 11.04..

    No device found, is it plugged in?
    I think that's for touch based devices isnt it?

    Re: iPod Classic not connecting

    odd, I woke up this morning and it was connected yet it wasn't when I went to bed last night. I'm unsure what caused it to stop working let alone what caused it to start again.
