Hi all,

I updated my lenovo t400 to Oneric but jumped ship to xubuntu because I'm not ready for unity (I couldn't figure out how to make a submenu in the dash and I don't want to sort through 60 games when I'm just perusing for a good puzzle). Xfce is a little rougher but I can cope for sake of organization in my applications menu.

I had a few keyboard shortcuts break, notably suspend and touchpad disable. I fixed suspend with a custom shortcut, and I fixed touchpad toggling with a script but I cannot assign fn-f8 to it. I have it assigned to fn-f6 but I really would like to get it back since the graphic is on the f8 keyboard button. When I click and open the dialog to assign a key combination if I press fn-f8 it just has no response. It doesn't say theres a conflict, it doesn't leave the dialog, it simply doesn't respond.

Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
