    Before I install Ubuntu 11.10

Before I install Ubuntu 11.10 is there a way to not update firefox? I play Quakelive and I love it, I had to download this custom plug-in to get it working with my current firefox, and I really dont feel like having to mess with it again.

    Thanks

What version of Firefox are you running?

EDIT: Also, are you going to be upgrading or doing a fresh install?

After the install, open Synaptic Package manager, enter Firefox to find the currently installed version, and then select Package and check "Lock Version".

I went to mark it solved, but I could not remember how to change it. Also, I am not sure if that will actually work since if I install 11.10 the new Firefox is packaged with it, I am not 100% that it wont install with it... I would assume it would.

    EDIT
I see it now, under forum tools, I still want someone to shed more light on the subject though

Hi, I am not sure about what you want to do but you should back up important data and do a clean install it will be a lot quicker and save you from having problems created by upgrading IMO.
    Thank you

That is my problem, I know that I downloaded a "modified" plugin to get it to work, but I cannot remember where I downloaded it from... If you google your question, and do a some searching you should be able to find it. Not to make things worse, but the game is absolutely amazing haha

Oh, and one last word of advice, when you do find the plugin you need to get a script for "Greasemonkey" to skip the advertisements, not that I even wanted to skip the ads, but it makes the flash plugin crash a lot.
