Is bleach Bit the safest way to clean up unwanted files?

Wanted to know if I should download bleach bit to clean up the stuff I don't need on ubuntu. I'm not great with computers and would not like to do anything manually. I am using Ubuntu 10.04. I just want to use it to clean up cookies and the like and things that aren't really used I guess and things that are duplicate.

    Thank you.

    Thank you sadaruwan12!

    And thank you rburktjo

And obviously thank you Andrew Z.

BleachBit is pretty safe. As a new user, you may want to avoid cleaning free disk space, localizations, and APT. Also pay attention to any warnings that popup as you check a box to clean.

BleachBit does not explicitly look for duplicate files (such as two identical copies of the same photograph).
