    Internal Address

    Hi
I want to give an internal address to my pc, example: mywebsite.net

To do this I changed hosts file by adding:

    Code:
    mywebsite.net name_of_my_machine

After that I restart the pc and I couldn't have it working. So I tried with:
    Code:
    mywebsite name_of_my_machine
and after the reboot it worked, I'm wondering why I can't use .net or any other thing since its in the internal network
