    10.04 grub2 wrong menu entry hp nx7300

    hi
i just installed ubuntu 10.04 on a hp nx7300 that is running vista business.
    sda1 vista
    sda2 recovery partion
    sda3 os tools

i deleted sda2 and sda3, shrunk sda1 to 395170mb the rest i used for ubuntu and swap, everything went fine except in grub2 menu list it has for vista sda1 windows recovery environment instead of windows vista, is there an easy way to change this and if i don't change it in vista where ever grub is picking it up at wont a update change it back?

Grub often mis-identifies Vista's menus. The entry for vista recovery will almost certainly boot Vista. The menu can be changed but it is not a simple thing to do. Have a look at the link below and investigate further
