    Now, the Supreme Court of India has directed all the courts across the nation to switch over to Ubuntu 10.04. The apex court has also given all the courts customised Ubuntu Linux DVD for installation.

    awesome. it seems they were using red hat 5 before.

    3rd largest economy on world has enough money for its court system to use Windows. Some of the richest on earth live in India as well as poor and POVERTY FYI is everywhere including the so called self proclaimed first world.

    Linux is good. It may or may not be the best fit for you personally in every way, but it is very solid and the user experience CAN BE very good.

    I think the TCO for Windows and Linux in an ordinary office environment is about the same.

    You are talking about India there Windows costs as much as Linux (free ,pirated of-course ) so money is not an issue
