Just one easy tip: Install the package "nautilus-open-terminal" and restart nautilus:

    Code:
    nautilus -q && nautilus
Now you can use the file manager and: Richt-click->Open in terminal, so the path is surely right.

More of that: e. g. "nautilus-gksu" for opening folders with root-rights

If you use the TAB-key you can "auto-complete" folder and file paths by typing only the first one or two letters or numbers

If it is the *.tar.gz or *zip-file then just:

    Code:
    cd Desktop/
and continue with the "tar" or "unzip"-command. copy/paste also works there.

    "Solved" is right.

The package dkms should do this automatically. If your system is up-to-date you should install the metapackage of the kernel headers after updating your system (Kernel -11 is the newest one):

    Code:
    sudo apt-get update
    sudo apt-get upgrade
    sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
    sudo apt-get install linux-headers-generic
and reboot. If it doesnt work automatically, reinstallation via:

    Code:
    cd /path/to/folder/
    sudo make clean
    sudo make
    sudo make uninstall
    sudo make install
    sudo modprobe -v rt5390sta
    sudo depmod -a
