how install VMWare .?

hi,
i am using ubuntu 10.04 lucid
how i can install VMWare ?
sudo apt-get install .....
or download package

I wrote a step by step , it is done under Ubuntu 11.04 but should work just fine in 10.04 (I've used it on both).

personally I've always found installing vmware and maintaning it a hassle in Linux.

Unless you have some very special need. I would use Virtualbox. Just so much simpler to install
