Live Video Streaming with Ubuntu Server

I am starting a company and know that the Windows Server 2008 RC2 already has this capability built into it but I would like to cut costs when I am first starting and would like to see if I can use Ubuntu server rather than dropping 600$ per server.

I am going to be streaming a live feed from either a URL or a video capture device like you can with the TV-Tuner cards and Ubuntu desktop. Has anyone set up a streaming feed through the server using a TV-Tuner Card or USB audio/video capture device? Any advice would be awesome and greatly appreciated.

That's possible using the VideoLan Streaming solution here's a link http://www.videolan.org/vlc/streaming.html

If you'd like that I help you to setup that that's ok.

That's awesome and very similar to the windows server set up. I'd love any assistance with this set up.
