    Angry Oxygen-gtk3 on KDE4

I am currently running Oneric Ocelot, and I quite frankly think that this is the best release of Ubuntu so for, even for a beta it exceeds my stability expectations.

I am having one issue though. All of my Gtk3 apps look fugly as ell in KDE4. I've checked to make sure that I have a symlinked .config/gtk-3.0 and a settings.ini file inside of it. Everything should theoretically work, but it doesn't. I get that aweful Windows-98 Esque fallback theme. The /local/share/themes/oxygen-gtk folder also contains a gtk3.0 folder and the GTK3 engines for oxygen-gtk are also installed.

    [Settings]
    # DO NOT EDIT! This file will be overwritten by LXAppearance.
    # Any customization should be done in ~/.gtkrc-2.0.mine instead.

    gtk-theme-name="oxygen-gtk"
    gtk-fallback-theme-name="oxygen-gtk"
    gtk-icon-theme-name="Faenza-Cupertino"
    gtk-font-name="Cantarell 9"
    gtk-cursor-theme-name="DMZ-Black"
    gtk-cursor-theme-size=0
    gtk-toolbar-style=GTK_TOOLBAR_ICONS
    gtk-toolbar-icon-size=GTK_ICON_SIZE_LARGE_TOOLBAR
    gtk-button-images=0
    gtk-menu-images=1
    gtk-enable-event-sounds=1
    gtk-enable-input-feedback-sounds=1
    gtk-xft-antialias=1
    gtk-xft-hinting=1
    gtk-xft-hintstyle="hintfull"
    gtk-xft-rgba="rgb"

Yea, I'd like to know how to make GTK3 apps look as good as GTK2, too.

Reported in bug #852858, "Please package oxygen-gtk3."

You can find it in two PPAs at the moment:

    That worked great. Thanks, man!

Now I need to setup GTK3 fonts. If it's possible, I'd like it to use the same font settings as KDE apps do, but if I need to do it manually, fine. Any ideas?

All my gtk2 and gtk3 apps use (default) ubuntu font. Look at System Settings> Application appearance> GTK+ appearance

Font family is okay, but not the size. For example, Gnome Calculator picks up the right font size:

    But Evince does not:

It does look pretty but evolution's pane where email subjects are listed becomes "invisible". It comes up as an empty rectangle. When I remove gtk3-engines-oxygen, it all comes back ... looking ugly as ever.

    Hidden!

    Angry Re: Oxygen-gtk3 on KDE4

It appears that gtkpod will segfault when gtk3-oxygen is set as the gtk3 theme. Synaptic will start up but the menus won't work.

The same thing happened to me this afternoon (Evolution 3.2.1).
Any idea to solve the problem ? Any way to contact the developper in order to indicate the bug ?

Thank you in advance for your answer !
