Hello all..

I have come across individuals posting their desktop configs as an individual thread.
I sugges that we have a common thread for this purpose where users can browse and appreciate individual efforts..

Starting with my configuration

AAO D250 running 11.04 studio.

Desktop is a combination of conky and devilspie
The wallpaper is from wallpaperweb.org called "break away"

How did you set that up like that?

1. Stay within the board rules, no matter how hot you may believe the wallpaper/screen shot to be.
2. If you are going to quote, there isn't a need to quote an img-embeded picture - Just don't do it. Please just reference the post by page number/page link/etc.

4. The desktops thread is not to be used as a means to post explicit or suggestive, and provocative images (they must be safe for your kids and/or boss to see). Please help to keep the thread relevant and safe to browse for everyone.

6. Please use reduced-size thumbnails, out of respect for people running on lower bandwidth or screen resolutions.

Themes: Name/where you got it (with link would be nice).

Important Note: Any image posted that is over 800 x 600 will be removed! Use a thumbnail or use a text link to your image. If your image is removed, this is why.

ImageShack causes problems for users in some countries. Please use another image hosting service.

Note: Obsteperous means noisy and unruly.

I'm currently installing the Oneiric beta 2 on my Toshiba. I'll probably post back soon with whatever I will have managed to make.

Nice setup! Mind telling me the theme and what way of navigating between open windows you use? (I don't see a dock- and I'm not too knowledgeable about that type of stuff because all I use is Statler-Dark and tint2)

It's just Arch linux with openbox stand alone:
Openbox theme: Turquoise nights ob
GTK-Theme: Elegant GTK
Icon Theme: Areao43
Conky: My only contribution to open source.

There's no dock, no panel, no nothing.
Openbox uses 1% of cpu power of a P4@3Gh and 90mb of ram at startup.

Wow, nice. I use Openbox a lot, but I always use something like tint2.

No need to man; just middle click on an empty space on your desktop: that's your tint (bloatware).
