    dependancy issues

    hello,

I've been having trouble installing a program on my computer due to dependancy issues. Is there something I can try or do that will work for any dependancy issues?

    Thanks!

What program, and how are you installing it? What version of Ubuntu?

what do you mean by "don't set your config/app issue"?

I'm runing ubuntu 10.04 LTS 32 bit, and the program that i'm trying to install is inssider version 0.1.1.0429, and I'm trying to install it through a .deb file, because I have been unable to locate it in synaptic.

    use this one: http://www.metageek.net/products/inssider/linux/

download it into an empty folder, then into a terminal:

    sudo dpkg -i *.deb

    use this one: http://www.metageek.net/products/inssider/linux/
download it into an empty folder, then into a terminal: sudo dpkg -i *.deb
I tried to enter the command that you gave me; in my case, it's:

    ubuntu@ubuntu:~$ sudo dpkg -i inssider_0.1.1.0429_i386.deb

And the response I got was:

    dpkg: error processing inssider_0.1.1.0429_i386.deb (--install):
cannot access archive: No such file or directory
    Errors were encountered while processing:
    inssider_0.1.1.0429_i386.deb

I put the file in a new folder, I transfered it on the desktop, and I even deleted another one that I had previously downloaded, so that the computer couldn't be confused with which one to pick.

Any ideas of what to do or what that reply means?
