    Touch Screen Help

    hi Ubuntu lovers,

I have a hp touch smart 310pc. I am just about to make it a dual boot system. What I want to know is the following,

Can Ubuntu normal desktop used a touch screen (I don't need multi-touch)?

What versions of Ubuntu is the bests for touch for a desktop?

How do I go about installing my touch screen drivers?

Are there more than one type of driver and how do I workout which one I will need?

How do I test to see if the drivers are working?

How do I calibrate the screen?

I am sure these are simple questions but I can't seem to find any answers I get a lot of howtos. I am trying get a deeper understanding as to how it works as I will have to support these devices. Any help would be great.
