Open Ldap, roaming profiles, decent howto?
Okay so I'm taking an Active Directory class, and it made me want to experiment with an OpenLDAP server at my home, mainly to institute roaming profiles for my dual boot desktop and my netbook.
The server is rather (extremely) low-key, 400 mhz 112 mb ram, it's only running service is mumble-server, which doesn't use many resources (sitting at 34 mb used ram, 3% cpu atm)
Questions:Would it be able to handle the ldap and not turn my login into a 10 minute ordeal? (400mhz celeron, 112 mb ram, Ubuntu LTS) there will be 2 clients, 2 profiles.
Do you guys know of a decent how to? I'm mainly concerned with Windows 7 clients, (netbook is Win7 light... or whatever they call the edition that ships with netbooks)
