Cut, Copy, and Paste erratic in Xubuntu 11.04

Still somewhat new to Linux. I just installed Xubuntu, and cut, copy, and paste work erratically. Most of the time I have to hit control C twice to copy text, and cutting text never works, it just deletes what I cut, but won't paste it when I hit control v. I'm on a Lenovo G555 with a dual partition Windows 7/Xubuntu. This problem occurs in every program I run.

Is there any easy way to fix this?

The functions work in other programs, but they remain spotty in Eclipse.

Have you tried installing a clipboard manager, such as clipman? It may or may not help, but it might be a place to start.

    Clipman is very good.
However, sometimes pasting into Opera address bar does fail in Xubuntu.
You must then paste into Mousepad, copy and paste into Opera address bar.

    I'll give that a try...

I tried it, it's a nice util, but the cut/copy is still erratic. But at least I can see what's on the clipboard.
