    Internet not working

I just bought a new laptop, an alienware with a killer wireless-n 1103 network card. I tried to install ubuntu 11.04 alongside windows 7 and i couldn't get any connections. I tried wireless and connected by ethernet and neither found any connection in ubuntu, but both worked fine in windows. I tried reinstalling ubuntu with the same result. any ideas?

    Re: Internet not working

I just ran lspci in the terminal and that output seems to suggest my wireless card is something different. it says atheros ar 3900. not sure what that is about. in windows when i look at the network tools it says my wireless is the killer 1103 and i have an atheros ar8151 PCI-E ethernet controller. Also ubuntu only seems to be registering 2.4 GB RAM when I actually have 8. i'm so confused
