    But happily so, actually. I've done my share of distro-hopping in my 2 years as a Linux user, but this is the first time anything like this has ever happened:

    A LiveCD session outperformed the installed "lightweight" Linux distro. Oh. My. Gosh.

    Gonna have to give it's own partition and dual-boot (another first for me, never dual-booted before) with my Most Beloved Distro, Xubuntu.

    Incredible.

    i always thought that the best/fastest ones were the Knoppix live-cd, since that's all knoppix is about: live-media-system. good to know.

    I'm in pain. I fell down a fight of stairs. It looks like I have a baboon's buttocks; however, mine is bright blue. Fortunately, I have a laptop and netbook so I don't have to site in front of a monitor and keyboard.

    Use whatever OS or desktop works for you. Dual boot or use VMs if you want. Backup your computer regularly, and definitely before upgrading, partitioning, or installing an OS.

    I am well , the weather is perfect ! While yesterdays few hours of fishing yielded a limit of Bluegill today was less productive . I only caught a bunch of of Drum , nice day though . http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freshwater_drum
