    Hello,

I've got a ubuntu laptop and a windows 7 desktop PC.
My desktop windows PC can have only one screen attatched to it, so I'd like to use my laptop as a second screen. I want to have my laptop connected to another monitor and the laptop just standing there recieving what to monitor and view it on the monitor. Does somebody know a way to do this? I can't find a solution for my problem on the internet.

Re: How to use a ubuntu laptop as a second screen?

I did a little searching on Google and found this:

    http://www.zoneos.com/zonescreen.htm

It looks like you would install a ZoneScreen Virtual Display Driver on your Windows desktop. Then you install a VNC server on your Windows desktop and VNC client on your Ubuntu laptop. Some users report stability problems on Windows 7 though.

    There's also a commercial program: http://www.maxivista.com/
No Linux client exists, but some users have gotten it to work in Linux with WINE.
