Sauerbraten

I've just installed Sauerbraten and I've been trying to play it online but I find that I keep on getting booted off any server that I join after about a minute. Does anyone know what I can do to stop this from happening?

I couldn't even get the game running in Mint 10 (which is based off of Ubuntu)

I would boot up to the start menu, and the second I would select anything bam, xserver crashed...

If you find a fix maybe it'll help me out.

Maybe the server runs a newer version of Sauerbraten than the one in the repos? I could not join some matches on a server because I didn' t have the maps.

I think that's probably the case. It's a shame because the multi-player levels seem really good fun.

Which version of sauerbraten are you running?

I'm running version 0.0.20100728.dfsg-2 (sauerbraten) that is found in the software centre.

That's the latest released version, so it shouldn't be a problem.

How many servers have you tried? Have you tried any empty servers?

I just tried a few empty servers and I still got disconnected after a minute.
