    MPEG transport stream filename extension

Kaffeine stores DVB-T transport streams with filename extension .m2t that is recognized by Thunar and PCManFM. However, wouldn't the correct filename extension be .ts? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MPEG_transport_stream) .ts is not recognized as MPEG transport stream by the above mentioned file managers: Thunar 1.2.3 thinks it is "message catalog" and it is unknown to PCManFM 0.9.9.

Oh, that applies to only some files. The file managers can recognize some files as MPEG-2 transport stream with either .ts or .m2t or none, but for some files, that are supposed to be TS files and are playable, only .m2t extension works.

That is odd, since a digital television recording software has saved them as .ts.
