    Internet on KDE

    Hi!

    i have a problem.

I was meaning to try out Mandriva 2011, but i have a problem. I live in a dorm, and we set up our internet by uploading a .pem permission file in the network manager, setting it to tunneled TLS and adding our account information - and that's usually it, and works like a charm.
Problem is, Mandriva is resetting the details i put in every single time and won't connect to the internet.

On the other hand, in OpenSuse 11.4 KDE, i can't even find the auto eth0 in my wired connections.

How do i fix this? Thank you!

    Re: Internet on KDE

I have heard many people moaning that the biggest flaw that the "King" of KDE distro's openSUSE have is networking and not that many days ago I even saw saw people recommending the use of wicd for another networking issue on IRC (and also, wicd is added unto the Slackware disc in the extra's folder and is the easiest way to get networking going on it)... So maybe that could help you on the openSUSE side...

On the Mandriva side I don't have any answer (right or wrong)...

wicd doesn't want to install. i assume because there's no existing version to the new mandriva 2011
