Reasonable I suppose, but I've only managed 34 posts in the last several years, and my "current ubuntu" version is way out of date. I tried to update that, and just couldn't figure out what was going on at first. Meh.

Maybe in another five years I'll reach 50...

Lot of time to decide what to pick as an avatar.

Ha, ha. I don't even want to think about how long it would take me to hit the magical 3K posts . Or maybe that would mean I'd live forever??

The explanation from an Op that closed the other (solved!) forum post about the 50 posts, was that the automation of the tasks couldn't differentiate users. But the "Join Date" it is still a field in the db, so it would do another WHERE statement

I tried to change some of my account settings, but found out it wasn't possible.

Sad that such measures had to be taken, but I will live with it.

We can use join dates. We have seen spammers create accounts to use a year later. There is no 100% satisfying situation. The current one works regarding spam in profile. Regular users have to cope for something they have not created and have no power on. Life is not fair sometimes

As a sidenote, reporting spammers will also gain you beans...

I hope that doesn't mean people start reporting false-positives just to increase bean counts!

I have reported a number of spam posts over the months, without realising that it increases bean counts.

well if its not spam then im sure people wouldnt get beans.

all beans aside, if you see spam report it, personally if it meant i lost beans i would still report it if i seen it, as i hate spam unless its fritters served with pineapple then i cant get enough of it
