dual boot lion ubuntu macbook 2,1

I haven't seen a wikipage for the Macbook 2,1 and Ubuntu v11 so I'm posting this thread.

I'm currently running Lion on my Macbook 2,1 and debating whether or not I want to install Ubuntu. I have recently installed a 750GB drive so space is no problem.

Has anyone had problems with rEFIt with Lion? I'll be using bootcamp to create a partition, but will gparted mess with Lion at all? BTW, I'm not a complete noob but since Lion is a new OS I'm wanting to make sure nobody has run into any major problems with it.

    Thank you for your responses.

There is alrady a discussion that covers this issue (mostly). http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1808805

I also believe this is specific to Lion. Lion imho screws up a lot of things. I also can't reinstall Snow Leopard with the disk that came with my computer.
