You might want to switch to vmware server. It's now included in the feisty repository so should be an easy switch.

Terminal output:
"chris@voyager:~$ sudo vmware
sudo: vmware: command not found
chris@voyager:~$ vmware
bash: vmware: command not found"

chris@voyager:~$ vmware-config
bash: vmware-config: command not found
After the installer finished it said everything was successful. what happened?
Try
Code:sudo /usr/bin/vmware-config.pl

i'm really confused. The installer said everything went fine, and an icon appears for vmware server in the applications>>system tools menu, and I know where I installed the files (/home/chris/vmware) but none of these commands are working.
installation went fine but File -> New -> Virtual machine is disabled, any idea?

Thanks for the walkthrough, but I cannot get mine to install. I alsways get this message:
I have made sure I have access to that folder & the files in it, but nothing seems to work.Unable to get the access rights of source file "./vmware-vix/bin".
Execution aborted.
Now I am pretty much a n00b when it comes to Linux in general, I only know what a friend has been telling me over the last couple of weeks, so I guess it could be something stupid!
Many thanks in advance for any help though.
