11.04 USB 3 issues

Hi, I am a complete newbie to everything Ubuntu so please treat me like a child.

I've checked the incompatibility thread and done a forum search to see if my issue has been addressed elsewhere but it doesn't seem to have been.

I'm running 11.04 on an Asus N53S and I'm having difficulty with my USB 3 port. None of my devices are recognised, I don't even get the confirmation beeps when anything is plugged in. I've searched for drivers to no avail and I've checked various help topics which state that Ubuntu has supported USB 3 since 2009 yet I'm unable to use my USB 3 port at all.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Nothing? Nobody knows how to make USB 3 ports work?

Its not that no one knows how, but that alot never ever had a computer with usb 3... i am sure someone will help if he stumbles upon your thread, just be patient. (and no i have no idea of usb3 whatsoever. sorry i can't help)
