I had that happen to with grub but for some reason burg works fine ?
I've been googling around, and the Grub2 theming department is really untapped, besides the themes in this thread I've come across like 3 others and 1 of them were another demo.
I am writing a script to make the themes, but it's kinda stuttered to halt because there's no other devs, and even devs have off days. Anyone like to help?
I can take all programming languages, as I'd quite like to ditch the original.
Well...Not really. More like (at the moment):
Code:Enter a background image: /home/michael/Background.jpg Enter fonts to use(use "done" when finished): /home/michael/Myfont.ttf etc.
A GUI would be awesome.
preview....not sure. maybe we could have a set of files it could open (.grb, maybe?) and have themes distributed on gnome-art or whatever. With previews.

....my script allows you to make your own and specify the values. If that's the question...?
Anyways, not the thread. PM me if you want to help.
And good idea, drs. Shame not many people use it.
haha sorry, I was just informing you of what I was up to. I'm almost done with the simple installation script.
I was thinking that we could set them up as tar archives that you can just install in some menu, kind of like how the gnome2 theme installer was, and then just have it execute the installation script within the tar file to move the contents over. That's if someone is up to making a simple GUI for it, other wise just extracting the tar balls with a folder containing everything, and executing an installation script will work.
Yeah.
So you're saying an application that can open and deploy pre-packaged GRUB themes?
Yeah. Can do that. I'll make a launchpad page, if I'm getting you straight. I'll PM you. presumably you can code? I can do basic stuff, but my major failing is the GUI stuff. Cannot do it.
