So I decided to take Natty for a spin and downloaded the iso and did a side by side install with 10.04. Lucky for me, the installer crashed right near the end of completion. Thankfully, someone told me to try the alternate install (via usb) and the installation completed no problems.
Well, I still can't boot into the Natty partition and when I boot into my primary partition with 10.04 my laptop is running hot right off the bat (140 degrees F).
I'd really rather not have to wipe everything and start again considering I have some proprietary software on my computer given to me by my department at the University (and I don't want to deal with our herp derp IT helper). Any help and advice would be appreciated!!!
(edit 1: I guess the laptop was still hot from the install bc I booted up just now and it was back to normal)
