make chrome my default browser

i have installed chromium on my buntu and i always set it as my default browser, however for some reason firefox always sticks to being the default browser.

any idea how to fix that?

What version of Ubuntu are you running?

If you are using 11.04, click the upper right-hand corner of your screen, and scroll down to "System Settings." Now look for "Preferred Applications" under the "Personal" section. Change your defaults as desired.
