    Chrome browser issue

Okay, here's a weird one for you techies out there.

With the Google Chrome browser, users in Windows and Apple can merely click once in the URL area and it is highlighted so a new address can be entered easily (or a search since Chrome uses the URL area for this, too).

But in Ubuntu and all variants clicking in the URL area does nothing but park the flashing cursor wherever you click. As a result really long URL addresses are difficult to clear out and I often just find it easier to close the tab and open another.

Although rather nit-picky, I do find this irritating since I use Windows, OS X and Ubuntu at various computers.

Does anybody have a clue if this can be corrected in the Ubuntu variation? All I want is the ability to single click to highlight the URL (and, yes, I've tried double clicking and that doesn't work, either).

    Thanks

    Re: Chrome browser issue

I was just using Chromium, similar to Chrome, and if I double or triple-click to the right of the URL, it highlights it all. Sorry, but I do not know how to make it highlight all with one click.

    Hope this helps!
And yes, I did read the parenthesis!
Bring Chrome to the Software Center. Now.
