    Angry 160gb Ipod Classic will not mount

    Hello. Hoping someone will come across this and please help me out!
    I have searched forums finding no answers.

    The version of Ubuntu that i am running on is 11.04(Natty) with Gnome desktop.
    My Ipod is the 160gb Classic from about 5 years ago.

    From the get-go my Ipod has mounted and un-moutned just fine. All of a sudden it no longer will mount or show on the desktop.

    I just want to add some music. The only program that has worked for me is Rhythmbox. Since ejecting my Ipod yesterday from Rhythmbox it will no longer mount it seems.

    I have reset my Ipod many times, used different USB ports, and reset my computer. I even installed gtkpod with Synaptic and tried some commands in a terminal... it seems the pod is nowhere to be found?

    Re: 160gb Ipod Classic will not mount

    I think the command line print out has scared everyone off!

    I'm in the same boat (i think) - disk utility says it's mounted under /tmp but it won't show up on desktop or in computer or be found by rhythmbox. Has something changed? And: WHY?!

    Any help appreciated. Ta
