I would like to set up my father's 11.04 installation so that it updates with minimal actions needed on his part. It looks like I can set it to "Install security updates without confirmation."
I set it this way once, and I seem to recall that I still had to actually click on the Update Manager and then the "Check" button and then "Install Updates" and only then would the prompt for the password pop up.
He won't go through all that. If I select "Install security updates without confirmation," will the machine download all updates and then simply present him with a prompt for his password to authenticate? If not, is there a way to do that? If not, how would I set up his machine so that he would have to do the least discrete number of actions to keep his installation properly updated?
Thanks in advance,
