First off, I really like Empathy. I use it to combine my Facebook and Gmail chat contacs. Very cool! 1 problem, I can't login to qq.com chat. Has anyone had success doing this? Any pointers? thanks!!

I have not tried logging into QQ chat for a while now. Typically, I find that QQ keeps changing their logon protocol such that it breaks third-party clients from logging in.
You can also see if pidgin works, last time I tried (a long time ago) it was either broken, or caused QQ to temporarily lock my account and I had to reactive it online.
The Linux Beta QQ client from Tencent should work.
