    Wine type software, but for mac support?

    is there a program like wine that give the user the ability to run mac apps on linux? If not why? is it harder to do or something?

    gamebusterzade, I think he's asking for a way to run Mac applications on Linux, not to run Windows applications on a Mac which is what CrossOver is for.

    As for your question, as far as I'm aware there is no way to run Mac applications on anything other than a Mac. Apple products are very tightly integrated. Even though Mac applications share some library files with Linux, they have too many things that run on Cocoa and Carbon (not open-source) that just can't be run on anything other than a Mac OS.

    Maybe someone else could shed a bit more light on this than I can.

    If you have a good computer you can install a hackintosh into virtualbox but thats about it... What application?
