    @OP: could you please support open data too and use an Openstreetmap background as your map?

    It's a petty that you're working with the google Javascript libary. If you worked with OpenLayers, than you could use Openstreetmap, Bing, Google, Yahoo, Mapquest and all other map providers together.

    I'm a OpenStreetMap contributor and supporter (my avatar also links to OSM) and I believe that Open Data and Open Source go hand in hand.

    Btw, Although there are now more than 400 000 users (that's 100 000 more than a year ago) we can still use new contributors. So anyone that wants to add some streetnames, pubs or their own house is more than welcome.

    Mine is listed, but the map shows it's location as the parking lot of the local golf course, which is fine by me.

    If you zoom into map, it shows a lot more locations. And NS (Dartmouth) is included.

    I think original(not zoomed) map just shows one icon per country.
