Buttons for volume control on Dell Latitude 2100 with Ubuntu 11.04 do not work.
Well, the header says it all: I can not get the volume buttons on my Dell Latitude 2100 to work: neither with Ubuntu 10.10 or 11.04. The mute button work, but not volume up and down. Same goes for my Logitech V-20 USB-speakers: mute works, volume up/down do not work. I get no visual indication on the screen when using volume up/down, but when muted, it gives a visual respone.
Key combinations like FN+ arrow up/down for brightness, FN+F11 print screen and so on work.

Well, that seems to be quickly solved!
I was advised to go in to system settings> key combinations and dedicate the volume buttons to lower and raise volume. It works!
And the buttons on the V-20 loudspeakers also works now!
