    That may be because of the system you have.

    The only thing that showed an error that I see in the log file is empathy. That may or may not be the problem, I guess you could uninstall it and see.

    This dmesg file is from right after you start your system after the freeze correct?

    Also hopefully someone else will look and see something that I did not see.

    no, the dmesg file is when it is still freezing.
    do you want one after reboot? or killall Xorg?

    Hi, right after the freeze as soon as you get booted back up.

    is there any difference between a killall Xorg so that it recovers the graphic and a reboot?

    Hi, I do not know I have never tried to kill xorg that way. Also Have a look at the system log as soon as you boot back up.

    I just got a black screen... when I was trying to view the log by Log File Viewer.
    the screen itself doesn't turn off though since the power light is still blue(instead if blinking orange).
    after reboot WITHOUT the disk check(i skipped it for the 1st time), it cannot get a gui but black screen still. In addition, there's a Empathy window blinking, I think that's because I have added empathy to the startup app.
    goes to terminal try to use dmesg and it tells me "Read-Only file system".

    However, I think that's an different issue... since I sometimes get the same problem when running StarCraft2 in Win7.(looks the same though).

    Hi, I think this is your freeze problem.
    (WW) Hotplugging is on, devices using drivers 'kbd', 'mouse' or 'vmmouse' will be disabled.

    I can use ubuntu now without problem, if i don't modify any file in Home Folder or use Log viewer(using terminal is fine).

    My keyboard and mouse is wireless from Logitech. It uses usb adapter, not bluethooth.

    Hi, that is a different issue, it just started occurring correct? That may be a permission issue, you should probably start another thread for that issue. I am going to wait for awhile and see if my friend comes online because he may know how to fix the hotplug problem.
