Network Manager Wireless won't start. Help Please

Hi, I've been using a wired connection for the past few months, I took the ethernet cable out and network manager won't switch to my wireless connection it won't even search for open connections. Only when I plug the cable back in does it work.

Can someone help me fix this?

I looked into my prop addtional drivers and saw that the broadcom driver wasn't activated. I attempted to and I got an error to check a var log file and this is what I received

I don't have anything nvidia in my system...so I'm a bit confused...I'm on an amd processor.

help please
