PCMCIA WNIC won't run on batteries
My Dell C400 Notebook won't power the Belkin PCMCIA Wireless G on battery power. As soon as I unplug, the adapter disconnects. The only recourse afterwards is to plug in and shutdown/reboot; restarting works MOST of the time. Just plugging back in doesn't do it.
Can't find anything in the "power settings" or the BIOS to control the PCMCIA ports power. Typically Windblows has an option in the device manager akin to "disable this device to save power when running on batteries", but I can't find it in Ubuntu.
Am I missing the totally obvious or is there some actual knowledge involved?
