    Terminal Background

I was just curious, but I'd like to know if someone could program it to where the desktop wallpaper was a working terminal, behind icons, windows, and the Launcher (11.04).

No rush, just wondered if it was possible. Thought it would look cool.

    Or maybe any interactive background.

It's an interesting idea, but you certainly wouldn't be able to use icons as they are managed by Nautilus.

    Re: Terminal Background

I remember doing this on an old build of Ubuntu. That said, it was using Openbox, where the desktop icons were irrelevant. Also, I would suggest reducing the size of your background terminal to a specified spot (not the whole screen).

Just some suggestions since I used to have this setup. Goodluck!
