Close, minimize and maximize buttons appear weird

I downloaded a new theme and when i applied the button on unity top bar got really weird[screenshot]. I tried it with other builtin themes like new wave and same case. Only ambience and radiance work well.

So i went on google rampage and found some stuff, applied that e.g. changed/copied the images in metacity-1 to match the names inside /usr/share/themes/Ambience but no use.

Can we see a pic of one of the themes that you consider work well for comparison?

Check the panel close, minimize and (un)maximize icons.

To tell you the truth I don't see much difference between the two. You can go into appearances and customize them by changing the controls to another set of controls.

Check the unity panel buttons for close, minimize and (un)maximize.
For radiance, they show up as radiance ones,
But for my theme, they show the default ugly ones, it doesn't show theme ones on panel.

I'm pretty sure that the buttons look like that because the theme wasn't made for unity. Mine look like that too but i kinda like it.

linuxman, check the second half of first image posted. I created those image for the sole reason of getting the button on panel same as theme.
